Owner Mark Jones has been a private hire driver for 28 years in Maidstone. He moved to the Maidstone area in 1984 and started working for a local Maidstone Taxi company. After several years of working for other taxi & private hire company's in Maidstone, Mark became disillusioned with the way Taxi Company’s operated. Mark decided to throw his hat in the ring and started his own Taxi Company in Maidstone, Kent. Sapphire Cabs & Couriers was born on 21st August 2003 and was named after the birthstone for that date. Sapphire Cabs & Couriers are run the way Mark thinks a taxi, private hire & Courier company should be run with the emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. Mark's business ethos has been proved right, with thousands of satisfied customers in and around Maidstone and Kent.

Sapphire Taxis & Executive Cars operate from 2 Medway Street, Maidstone and our office is open to customers around the clock every single day of the year, including Christmas day.

We can supply a chauffer driven executive service of Mercedes S class, E class vehicles for weddings, VIP’s or just special occasions (24 HOURS NOTICE REQUIRED)

Courier & Removal Service

 
A 24 hour fully insured courier service is now available, from motorbikes to vans we can deliver anything from letters, important documents, phones & laptops or up to 1 ton pallets( must be non-hazardous) and small house or commercial office removals anywhere in Europe. A rubbish removal service may also available, please phone for details.
 

Sapphire Cabs Taxi Booking System

 

A computerised booking and despatch system was installed in November 2011 and has enabled Sapphire Cabs to streamline the speed and accuracy of your taxi cab bookings. It also enables us to send you a confirmation of your airport booking to give you peace of mind. E-mail enquiry's can also be taken.

Sapphire Cabs Telephonists

 

Sapphire Cabs telephonists are always helpful, courteous and polite. All of our telephonists are trained in house and have plenty of local knowledge. They will always try to book your taxi cab journey for you when you want it but please be aware that at peak booking times our telephonists can be very busy. If your booking is not immediate please call at a less busy time.

Sapphire Cabs Taxi Drivers

 

Sapphire Cabs Taxi and Private Hire drivers are all licensed with Maidstone Borough Council after a vigorous test on local and surrounding areas of Maidstone. Sapphire Cabs Taxi and Private Hire drivers have also been fully checked by the national Criminal Records Bureau (C.R.B.) and has to be re-applied for every four years.

Sapphire Cabs Vehicles

 

All Sapphire Cabs vehicles are licensed by M.B.C. (Maidstone Borough Council) and are sign written with our name and telephone number on the sides and rear except mercedes VIP vehicles. They are all fully insured with Hire & Reward insurance and have fitted meters with council set tariffs. The majority of our vehicles are under three years of age and are all main dealer serviced and maintained as well as valeted regularly.

We offer a meet & greet service where our taxi cab drivers will meet you with a Sapphire Cabs branded sign. Each Sapphire Cabs sign will have your name or the name of the person we are meeting. Our taxi cab driver will assist you from the Airport or Sea port terminal to the taxi cab with your luggage.
